May Day lives on!

Every year growing up in Yakima, my mother spent hours making May Day baskets each year for all our 20+ neighbors. We had fun delivering them as kids. Although the May Day tradition is slowly fading away, it lives on here in Billings! Following my mother's example, we made May Day baskets this year for the neighbors. We started by planting snapdragon seeds a month ago, and this is how much they grew! They will be lovely in the summer, I'm sure! The kids LOVED putting them on the porches, ringing the doorbell, and running away! What fun!
Happy May Day!

That's so awesome! I wanted to do something for May Day...but didn't get around to it. You were so cool to plan ahead!

This is so cool!!!! I have been agonizing about May Day this year. I no longer have gardens but the desire to share some flowers on May Day is still with me. I have been thinking about May Day all week and the fun we had. I'm so glad your kids get to carry on this lovely tradition.

I love the photos. Nicely done!

I thought I was the only one who remembered this. Our neighbors looks at us like we were crazy. :)
